Oh Yea, School Picture Day!

I am all over this link up, mostly because I have some doozies.  Buckle your seatbelts, you’re in for a bumpy ride!

Let’s start with a cute one, just so you know it wasn’t ALL bad!
Kindergarten

Now here’s where it gets awkward and uncomfortable.
4th Grade – brushed out perm, big bangs, big teeth
SCAN0004
6th grade – multi-colored braces bands, no bangs, recess wind-blown hair
SCAN0003
10th grade – pure innocence, no wonder I didn’t have a boyfriend
SCAN0002
11th grade cheerleading pic, just because (Go Demons!), What up 90’s back lighting!

And now for the senior pictures, class of ‘99!  Thought I’d throw Andy’s in for shits and giggles.

There you have it, folks.  Pure awesomeness.  Looking back I think “Why didn’t my parents tell me I looked so bad?  And why did they buy me those clothes?”  Can’t go back, only forward, so I am hell bent on not letting my kids feel like that one day.  We’ll see how that turns out. Ha!

I am sending prayers to everyone involved in the tragedy that occurred yesterday in Boston.  After reading for so long how much effort is put into training for a marathon I feel so angry for those individuals who had that hard work and effort taken away from them when coming to the finish line.  I heard on the news that over 7000 people had not yet crossed the finish line, that triumph of completing such an overwhelming task was taken away from those individuals and I am PISSED about it! I have a feeling that the triumph for those that did cross the finish line was taken away from them as well, knowing that their ending could have been so different.  I am also extremely angry that lives were taken, lives were forever changed by injuries.  An innocent 8 year old boy, how unimaginable.  My wish for the bastards who did this is to stand 5 feet from one of their own bombs while it is detonated, to feel the pain of the shrapnel being lodged into their bodies, the fear of not knowing if they will live or die.  An eye for an eye.

  5. I think it must be obligatory for all teenage girls to get at least one perm. That way, they never do it again. Haha! Great pics, I love the cheerleader one!
